Each week, the official Twitter account of Sweden is controlled by one Swedish choosed to promote the country. Last week, it was Hanna Farge, a lesbian truck driver.
The New York Times reports that Hanna Farge— who refers to herself as "just your average lesbian truck-driver" in the account's bio— has been selected to run the country's Twitter account last week, as part of a campaign called Curators of Sweden that was up by the Swedish tourism bureau.
The tourist bureau explains Sweden is the most democratic country in the world and is a very beautiful place to go on vacation or start a business.
Sweden is regarded as the most gay-friendly country of Europe according to the Rainbow Europe Country Index classification established by the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA) Europe because it is the only European country to fill all the criteria of the ILGA based on anti-discrimination legislations, recognition of same-sex couples, gay parenting and anti-homophobia laws (See: Europe and LGBT Rights : The Chart)
