HBO would like to develop The Kids Are Allright in a tv series, a pilot has just been ordered.

After its award at the Oscars, the movie The Kids Are Allright will be perhaps one of the new lesbian series on our TV screens.

Lisa Cholodenko, who co-wrote and directed it, will write the pilot script which will continue the story of the five main characters: the lesbian couple, their son and their daughter and the biological father (sperm donor) of the children who surfaces and tears the family apart.

As reports Deadline, Cholodenko will be exec producer alongside the film’s original producers, Antidote Films’ Jeffrey Levy-Hinte, Gilbert Films’ Gary Gilbert and Maven Pictures’ Celine Rattray. Even if nothing has been signed yet, I hope Cholodenko will work on it, we want a woman and we want a lesbian to develop this new project, don't we ?
