Eva Green and Gemma Arterton to tell the love story between Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West in a film directed by Chanya Button

Actresses Eva Green and Gemma Arterton will play the true love story between Virginia Woolf and Vita Sackville-West in a feature film titled "Vita And Virginia".

Directed by a woman, Chanya Button, the movie will be an adaptation of the play by Eileen Atkins based on the flaming letters exchanged by the two women.

The story will take place in the 1920s when Virginia (Eva Green) is at the top of her career after the release of her novel "Mrs. Dalloway". Vita (Gemma Arterton) begins to send her fiery letters from the Middle East. Then two women start a relationship that will last almost a decade. Virginia will write her novel "Orlando", the longest most charming love letter in history which will become a masterpiece.

At the moment, I'm not able to give you a release date for the movie yet. But a few days ago the British film studio Protagonist Pictures presented it during the European film market. We can assume that the production of the film should start in the year.
