Marriage Equality TV Ads Launched In Maine

Washington is not the only state to have launched ads to promote marriage equality on television before the referendum of November. Marriage for All Families just starts a similar campaign in Maine.

The marriage equality law was repealed in 2009.

The creators of this video said the goal of Marriage for All Families is "to capture the real experience of same-sex couples, to show that they have the same challenges, responsibilities, and aspirations as other couples. Still, they are strangers in the eyes of the law. That’s why marriage equality is so important: it aligns personal reality with legal reality, as a simple matter of fairness and equality."
