A report shows that hate groups have grown during the last decade following the world's crisis. It is also the case for anti-gay groups which are almost the double than in 2000.
Southern Poverty Law Center wrote that from 149 groups in 2008, the number of Patriot organizations skyrocketed to 512 in 2009, shot up again in 2010 to 824, and then, last year, jumped to 1,274 including 1.018 based in United States.
Among these groups, anti-gay groups have also grown. There is more and more support for equality and we have more rights to marry and adopt which seemed to set off a furious rage on the religious right, with renewed efforts to ban or repeal marriage equality and what seemed to be an intensification of anti-gay propaganda in certain quarters.
In 2010, there were 17 anti-gay groups in United States but last year, there were 27.
