A new fashion appeared in US states: the pro-equality or pro-LGBT license plate. After 3 states, California could become the fourth one to developped it.
Last Friday, the bill AB 1539 was presented by Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi, to create a LGBT licence plate for Californian drivers.
Once again, funds from the sale of the plate will go toward anti-bullying programs at the California Department of Education as reports LosAngeles CBS.
"LGBT youth are at an increased risk for bullying, which can have devastating effects on their health, even leading to suicide," Hayashi said in a statement. "By purchasing this plate, the public can put a stop to bullying and help make a difference for our kids."
