Know that in the airport of Cartagena, there is now a gender-neutral bathroom.

Author and lawyer Riki Wilchins discovered the bathroom while he was on vacation in Colombia as he tells in a blog.

When one thinks of all the problems of access to bathrooms that transgender people suffer, one wonders why there are no more gender-neutral bathrooms in the world.

Not that the idea is to separate transgender people from the rest of the world but why should there be only binary bathrooms, male or female?

In Colombia, gay, bisexual and transgender people can serve openly in the military. Moreover, the notion of gender neutral on birth certificates was approved in 2015. Transgender people can change their gender on their official documents without any psychological or physical assessment.
