India Supreme Court To Consider Open Court Hearing On Homosexuality

The Supreme court of India agreed to reconsider the criminalisation of homosexuality.

A few months ago, homosexuality was criminalized in India again. Initially, the Supreme court had refused to consider an open court. Following a curative petition filed by LGBT activists and in particular by Naz Foundation, an HIV support group, the court accepted that an open court hearing on homosexuality is allowed.

I hope that will have a beneficial effect and that one will be able to soon celebrate the reversal of this law again.
