The de-penalization of homosexuality in India advances gradually. The Supreme Court announced that it will study this case in April.

In July 2009, the High Court of Justice in Delhi decided that homosexuality has to be decriminalized. But it does not include all the India, just Delhi, the capital. Actually only the Supreme Court can decide to apply it for all the country, that's why it will start to study the case in April.

In India, the citizens can deposit requests in order to express their opinion. For the moment, there are 19 requests including 15 against and 4 in favor. Parents started to deposit requests to support their LGBTQ children.

Hoping that the number will increase.
