Israel Will Allow Transgender People To Be Legally Recognized With Their True Gender Without Surgery

Israel is about to change its laws to allow transgender people not to have to undergo surgery to change their gender on their identity documents.

The Israeli Ministry of Interior has indeed recently announced this change which adds to the list of laws in favor of equality for the LGBT community recently passed.

In 2014, Israel has enabled mention of same-sex parents on the identity cards of their children while only different-sex parents could previously be mentioned. The state also allowed same-sex couples to be integrated into the inheritance laws. But in January 2014, the anti-discrimination law has been rejected.
