Malawi Could Review Its Anti-Gay Laws

Written by

The government of Malawi could review its anti-gay laws.

Following UK and US announcements concerning LGBT protections. Malawi, which currently sentences gay acts, thus wants to re-examine its laws to maybe change them.

The minister of justice, Ephraim Chiume, said: "Because of the feelings of the general public and in answer to the public opinion relating to certain laws, wishes of government to announce with the nation of Malawi which it subjects the laws appropriate and the provisions of the laws to the Commission of law for the examination."

We will see how they change the laws but unfortunately, I don't think they will remove them.
