The Anglican Church Of South Africa May Open To LGBT people

Written by

The Anglican Church of South Africa could provide some acceptance of LGBT married couples.

South Africa remains the country at the moment the most advanced in the area of LGBT rights in Africa since the equal marriage is possible in the country, but there are still a lot of discrimination and violences.

We had recently seen a change in the Presbyterian church that had agreed to recognize same-sex unions, well this time it is the Anglican Church.

According to Archbishop Thabo Makgoba, the Provincial Synod is about to treat the question during a meeting of the congregations to be held this year.

While it is not yet clear what will be the final decision, we obviously hope a positive decision.

You should know that the Anglican Church refuses to baptize the children of LGBT parents, same-sex couples cannot be married in the church and pastors do not have the right to have homosexual relationships.
