The Highly Anti-LGBTQ Gambian President Yahya Jammeh Has Not Been Re-Elected!

Good news! The President of the Gambia, Yahya Jammeh, who spoke very violently against LGBTQ people, was not re-elected.

It is therefore Adama Barrow, who, with 45.5% of the votes, wins the election and becomes the new president of the African country after 22 years of totalitarian government acquired by a military coup.

For now we don't know Barrow's point of view on the LGBT community, but the new 51-year-old president has studied and worked in the UK for several years so maybe he will be more inclined to accept the existence of LGBTQ people unlike his predecessor who wanted to exterminate them all.
