The Supreme Court Of Mexico Repeals The Equal Marriage Ban In Jalisco

Written by

The Supreme Court of Mexico has just taken a step towards equality for all again by repealing the law which prohibited marriage equality in the state of Jalisco.

It was after the challenge by two LGBT couples after their marriages were rejected as this repealing was possible.

The court ruled that the ban was discriminatory against LGBT people and unconstitutional.

In June, the Supreme Court had already ruled all marriage equality bans unconstitutional even if, for now, there is still some way to go to really see marriage between same sex people as legalized in Mexico.
