U.S. Officials In Uganda Say The Anti-Gay Law Is The 'Kill The Gays' Law

Written by

The Washington Blade received an e-mail of United States officials in Uganda in which they write that the anti-gay law, which is about to be voted by the Parliament, includes the death penalty for gays and not the life imprisonment.

The death penalty will be for cases of "aggravated homosexuality": for any person having HIV who would be engaged in homosexual acts, sex with a minor or repeated offences of homosexuality.

The source of this e-mail has written the law could not be changed by the Legal & Parliamentary Affairs Committee before it reaches the Ugandan Parliament.

Many threats were uttered so that this country does not pass the law like the stopping of financial aid but will it be enough?
