Amendment Protecting People On Religious Belief Won't Be Added To Scotland's Marriage And Civil Partnership

The Equal Opportunities Committee refused the amendment which aimed at protecting any person being opposed to marriage equality for religious reasons.

Richard Lyle, who proposed this amendment, hoped that religious bodies and celebrants, potential foster carers and adoptive parents, and public authority workers who do not support same-sex marriage are protected according to Herald Scotland.
