The new French government reaffirms its commitment to pass marriage and adoption for gay and lesbian couples. The new Prime Minister and the new Minister for the family affirm their support for the two laws.

In her first interview with France Info radio, Dominique Bertinotti, Minister for the family, indicated that she will fight for gay marriage and gay parenting.

Moreover, yesterday, as it was the day against homophobia and transphobia, we could read directly on the government's website that this one plans to push the two laws.

Then, in an official statement, Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault again ensured his will to fight against discriminations based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

"On the occasion of the Day against homophobia and transphobia, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the commitment of the government against violences and discriminations based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

"The government wants to stop the prejudices and the discriminations and violences. It will implement the commitment of the president of the Republic to give the right to marry and adopt to gay and lesbian couples," Ayrault adds.
