Unfortunately, lawmakers of Kyrgyzstan approved the law banning what they call the «gay propaganda.»

This law, which punishes «propaganda of non-traditional sexual orientation» with penalties of up to one year in prison, was almost unanimously adopted (90 votes in favor and 2 votes against it).

According to Agence France-Presse, the European Parliament warned in a January resolution that the bill «could affect relations with the EU» which provides budget support and other assistance to the aid-dependent country.

It would appear that legislators totally don't care.
