The Macedonian Parliament will consider a constitutional amendment that would prohibit marriage equality.

Conservative lawmakers have introduced an amendment that would define marriage as a union between a man and a woman "to protect traditional, family and religious values of marriage" said a spokesman for the conservative VMRO-DPMNE party in parliament.

Unfortunately, following the elections that took place last April, the Conservatives and their allies won a two-thirds majority of seats needed to approve these changes.
