Scottish Parliament Started To Discuss On Gay Marriage

Written by

The new Scottish government has decided to study the possibility of a gay marriage in the country.

"We recognise the range of views on same-sex marriage and registration of civil partnerships. We will therefore begin a process of consultation and discussion of these issues as soon as practicable." said Nicola Sturgeon, deputy leader and minister responsible for equality.

Equality Network said: "We expect the consultation to be broadly supported across the Parliament."
