What's going on with the Church of England? After voting to recognize transgender people, the Church of England officially disapproves of "gay cure" therapies.

Representatives of the Church of England voted in favor of the motion presented by Reverend Chris Newlands. It proposed to "welcome and affirm" transgender people in the parishes of the church.

Note that Newlands insisted that guidance should be distributed throughout the church on how best to offer service for trans* people.

But that's not all! The Church of England voted to oppose the so-called "gay cure" therapies.
