Written by

At a Bishops' conference of the Church of Norway to define new rules on wedding ceremonies has been decided to allow same-sex weddings within the church.

What is nice to see is that the vote was overwhelmingly in favor of this opening as it ended with a result of 88 against 32.

Then, according to The Local, bishops and other church officials can refuse to officiate the marriage between a same-sex couple, however, the couples are ensured the rights of being married in their local church even if the officials decline to carry out the service.

You should know that the Church of Norway accepts the ordination of gay people.
