Expert Market has just published its annual report "Great place to be ... LGBT workers" on the recognition and treatment of European LGBTQ workers. So what are the countries where you can work well when you are an LGBTQ person?

Not surprisingly, the Nordic countries are at the top of the ranking, which has 43 countries. Norway, Finland and Belgium are the best, followed closely by Germany and Sweden.

Denmark, Malta, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Croatia are also doing well and reaching the top 10.

France is back in 11th rank this year just ahead of Greece, Spain and Austria.

Last but not least, the countries to be avoided are Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Macedonia and Armenia, which ranks last in this ranking.

This report is based on employment-related criteria such as the unemployment rate, monthly wage, discrimination in hiring, but also on the general policies of the countries towards its LGBTQ population.
