Women are heading to the beach in the Pacific Northwest for a weekend getaway filled with laughter and plenty of activities for good times and to make memories at EDEN Pacific Northwest, October 2 - 5.

Julie Goldman

This year the team behind EDEN PNW has added new activities and tours where everyone will have fun along with great entertainment with comedians Julie Goldman, D'Lo and Belinda Carroll (who is returning for her second year performing at the women's weekend) and a great dance party.

"This really is a weekend getaway and we wanted our attendees to have a variety of activities to choose from that would appeal to a variety of lifestyles," said Christine De La Rosa, co-producer of EDEN Pride Events.

"There is literally something for everyone," agreed Sarah Toce, one of the co-producer. "We wanted to make sure we were able to offer activities for a wide range of interests, and I think we've accomplished that this year. Regardless of whether our guests prefer tranquility or sipping and savoring, we have them covered."

The weekend passes are selling quickly and the activities and tours are filling up fast with some being almost sold out, said the EDEN PNW team.

To book your room and get away to Seaside, visit or follow EDEN PNW on Facebook ( for the latest updates.

Weekend passes are $100 and excursions and individual event tickets are $15 - $30, to purchase your weekend passes, visit

Guests attending the women's weekend in Seaside, Ore. will enjoy up to four activities:

  • Beach Bonfire

  • Clamming

  • Golf

  • Hiking

  • Painting and Wine, and

Two guided tours:

  • Northern Oregon Coast Scenic Wine and Cheese Tour

  • Northern Oregon Coast Craft Brew Trail

Guests enjoyed the excursions last year, but requested more diversity, "So, that is what we are giving them," said De La Rosa.

Heather Cassell, publisher and editor of Girls That Roam, will lead the Northern Oregon Coast Craft Ale Trail. Oregon is known for its microbrewing, but in recent years the Northern Oregon Coast caught the microbrewing bug producing a booming craft brewing scene. The tour follows some of the leaders of the bourgeoning Northern Oregon Coast craft brews, starting with a tour of the Fort George Brewery led by brewer Piper Gladwill in Astoria followed by lunch and tastings at the brewery and two others.

Gladwill is excited to lead the women on a tour of the brewery, she said, "Women have always been involved in beer making."

Toce will lead the Northern Oregon Coast Scenic Wine and Cheese Tour down the coast to Tillamook where the group will tour the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory. The group will head to the Blue Heron Cheese and Wine Company for lunch followed by cheese and wine tasting at the Blue Heron and the Nehalem Bay Wine Company.

Also new this year: golf and painting and wine activities.

Golf will be led by avid golfer to be announced soon. Beginners and experienced golfers alike are welcome to join the ladies on the green at the Gearhart Golf Links historic golf course, which is one of the top golf courses on the Northern Oregon Coast, and kick back with lunch and beers at the McMenamins Sand Trap afterward.

Nikki Becker, owner and founder of Miss Fit Adventures in Portland is one of the new excursion leaders with EDEN PNW. Becker will lead women through the local trails around Seaside and Cannon Beach with one light hike and one moderate hike.

Not into the great outdoors, the EDEN PNW team has you covered with a wine and painting class.

The Wine and Canvas workshop will be led by EDEN Pride Event's team member Sam Love. A little bit of wine, paint, canvas, and guidance and you will create your personal work of art.

"I am looking forward to the wine and painting," said De La Rosa. "That sounds like lots of fun to me."

While De La Rosa is looking forward to painting and wine, Toce couldn't pick one activity or tour to experience.

"They are all amazing, and I wish I could be in multiple places at once to experience them all with our guests," said Toce.
