ILGA To Organize A Conference On Human Rights And Health In Oceania

The International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA) will organize its Oceania Human Rights and Health Conference from 9 to 11 March.

The conference will be held in Wellington and will aim to "re-ignite the fires of the LGBTI community on issues of Human Rights and Health in the states of Papua New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Melanesia and the Micronesian Islands."

Discrimination, equal rights, homophobia in sport, gender identity, HIV and other medical angles will be addressed during the two days.

ILGA is an association under which gathers over 750 LGBT groups around the world. Having a seat at the United Nations Assembly, the association already fighting for almost forty years for the community.
