During last weekend, the Gay Pride of Tokyo took place and Akie Abe, the first lady of Japan, attended it. A manner for her of showing her supports to LGBTQ rights.

In Japan, homosexuality is still taboo but it would seem that Akie Abe wants to change the things. She is as apparently a little more liberal as her husband. Indeed, the chief of the government carries out a rather conservative policy.

The first Japanese lady concluded her day by this message on Facebook: “I want to help to build a society where each one can reach happiness and to open out without being victim of discrimination. I was pleased to spend a very good moment surrounded by smiles. Thank you.”

She also shared some pictures which illustrate this article.
