Sao Paulo Council Wants A Straight Pride

Written by

A project of law to organize a straight pride, developped by Carlos Apolinario in order to protest against "the privileges which enjoys the gay community," has just been approved by the town council.

Apolinario regrets, for example, that the Walk of Jesus is not the right to be organized on the Paulista avenue of Sao Paulo whereas million people celebrate each year the Gay Pride on this avenue. Of course, LGBT associations do not agree:

"The celebration of the straight pride is inappropriate because it lowers the right cause of the LGBT community.

Contrary to gay people, straight people are not discriminated simply because they are straight".

It seems that the mayor is opposed to this project and could reject it.
