Sydney Gay Mardi Gras Parade

Written by

The 34th Gay Mardi Gras Parade of Sydney has took place in Australia and it was quite simply amazing! Tens of thousands people came to march in the streets and also to protest against the prohibition of the gay marriage.

Many people besides were dressed as grooms or brides.

“We will be sending the message tonight that our love is no different and it shouldn’t be treated differently by the law,” said Alex Greenwich of Australian Marriage Equality.

“When they said they were doing it for equality for marriage, I think I was more inclined to march,” Nicole Parker, “I’m gay myself and we don’t choose who we love. Everyone should have the opportunity to marry and have the same benefits as everybody else.”
