"Trans And Intersex Conference Of The Isles" Will Be Held From October 31 To November 2 In Edinburg

Written by

This weekend in Edinburgh, Scotland will be organized a conference for transgender and intersex people.

This “Trans and Intersex Conference of the Isles”, organized by the Scottish Transgender Alliance, of the Equality Network, will host over 150 transgenders and intersex activists to discuss in particular the sudden discrimination.

“While lesbian, gay and bisexual people now have almost full equality under the law, the human rights of transgender and intersex people are still not fully respected in Scotland, with huge problems securing legal gender recognition and only limited protections from discrimination," the Equality Network said.

This is the case not only in Scotland but throughout the world.
