Here what Lady Gaga asked during the concert:
"There's a senator here in Buffalo that's on the fence about whether or not to vote for this particular bill and I would like to give you all his e-mail. His name is Sen. Mark Grisanti."
She gave her fans the e-mail of Grisanti and said that "2,000 e-mails in his BlackBerry this evening or tomorrow" could help him to balance his position for the equality of the marriage.
Later, she posted the same information on her Facebook page:
In answer of this action, the spokesman of the Senator Grisanti answered that "Lady Gaga is a terrific world-renowned performer, entitled to her opinion. That is why our country is so great because you have the opportunity to have your voice be heard, and reach out to your local representatives."
Then he added "Sen. Grisanti has already reached out to the local chapter of Outspoken for Equality, and is meeting with them next week. Additionally, I have personally met with the Outspoken for Equality in Albany, and we had a very informative and constructive conversation. We look forward to learning more about their issues and concerns with regards to same-sex marriage."
8 votes were missing in 2009 when the bill was presented in the State Senate.
Some people will still wonder whether they have to laugh about the actions of Lady Gaga, but I would like to ask them: "And you, what are you doing to change the things?"
