San Diego based recording artists and real life couple, Danielle LoPresti and Alicia Champion officially released their first Christmas video, "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" on YouTube. With over 200,000 views to date, the video is receiving rave reviews from fans and celebrities alike.

John Barrowman from the hit television series, Arrow and the Oscar nominated film, Zero Dark Thirty went as far as to post a video message on his Facebook page on Friday encouraging his over 900,000 fans to watch the video.

The video stars Champion and LoPresti with their four year old son, Xander and gives a modern family twist on the familiar holiday classic. The song was originally recorded by Tommie Connor in 1952 and remains a holiday favorite.

LoPresti, who has shared the stage with artists such as Jamie Foxx, David Byrne, Cyndi Lauper, Juliette Lewis, and En Vogue with her band, Danielle LoPresti and The Masses, explained why she and Champion decided on making the video.

"As a multi-racial, same-sex, foster-adoptive family, Alicia and I are always seeking out examples in the media of other families like ours to share with our child. We looked online and per usual, didn’t find a single video of a family that resembled ours… so we thought that since we have access to the resources, we could have some fun helping to fill that void."

The song is the first single released off of LoPresti’s new album Winter’s Light which is scheduled to release in December on iTunes.
