The Lesbian Singer And Activist Lesley Gore Has Died

We learned with sadness the American openly lesbian singer Lesley Gore died at 68 years old.

Indeed, she has succumbed to lung cancer as announced by her partner of 30 years, Lois Sasson.

Gore had become famous when she was just 16 with her song «It's My Party». Released in 1963, this single has sold over a million copies, becoming a number 1 hit. You can listen to the song directly below.

Throughout her life, the singer was also engaged for gay rights and the right to equal marriage.
