French vice-Olympic champion of handball, Alexandra Lacrabère, chose HandAction magazine to talk about her homosexuality for the first time.

In this interview, Lacrabère evokes the difficulty that a lesbian sportswoman can meet. She also shared her hobbies such as painting, shopping, and spending time with her girlfriend.

In France, openly gay female athletes are rare. We know Amélie Mauresmo (tennis), Carole Péon and Jessica Harrison (triathlon) and Marinette Pichon (football).

We can now add Alexandra Lacrabère whose public coming out may inspire other athletes to talk about their homosexuality.
