FIFA Wants To Fight Homophobia

A few months after the female world cup took place, the governing body of international soccer announced that it will study homophobia in the sport.

One remember in particular the anti-gay remarks of Eucharia Uche, coatch of the Nigerian team.

After this, All Out, the Federation of Gay Games, and the International Gay and Lesbian Football Association launched a petition to invite the FIFA to condemn homophobia.

"Today we are excited to see FIFA take a first, critical step…" Andre Banks, the co-founder of AllOut.org.

An investigation will be carried out against the Nigerian coatch.

"The international governing body of soccer is sending a clear and important message: homophobia has no place in football, on or off the field," Banks added.
