Colombia legalized marriage equality!

Yesterday, Colombia's constitutional court voted in favor of marriage for same-sex couples.

In Colombia, a highly conservative country, the Supreme Court has allowed civil unions for LGBT couples, giving them access to many benefits previously reserved for married couples, particularly on pensions, health benefits and inheritance.

After the presidential elections are over in Colombia, it is hoped that President Juan Manuel Santos, elected to a second term with 50.9% of votes, will continue to support equal marriage.
