The Scottish Episcopal Church has just made a first big step towards opening the equal marriage.
Even if since 2012 the Episcopal Church decided to bless same-sex couples and recently became one of the three mainline denomination to embrace the equal marriage, after the Presbyterian Church (US) and the United Church of Christ, Right Reverend John C. Bauerschmidt, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Tennessee, made the decision not to allow the churches in his jurisdiction to perform same-sex wedding ceremonies.
