A few days ago, the Kansas' Senate has killed a law which would have allowed companies to discriminate LGBT people based on their religion. Yesterday, the Senate Judiciary Committee discussed on a possible religious exemption again before to postpone it.
Just like in Kansas, the bill which would have allow companies to discriminate LGBTQ people was rejected.
The bill which would allows companies to discriminate LGBT people in Arizona was approved by the legislators and it remains to be seen whether Governor Jan Brewer will sign this bill into law.
Since now several weeks we hear of bills aiming at legalizing discriminations against LGBT people. Some of these laws, if approved, would even prevent any legal action and would thus block possible challenges against discriminatory laws like same-sex marriage bans.
From now on, one breathes a little bit better in Kansas where the bill was killed, but for how long?
