A new cultural plan to protect and enhance the LGBT cultural heritage of San Francisco. To do this, the Mayor's Office of Transgender Initiatives will be expanded into an LGBTQ affairs office.
A few days ago, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce’s second annual LGBT Summit was held. During the event, the speakers applauded the work that has been done to break down stereotypes but urge more action. Approximately 175 people attended the conference.
A new study called "The State of LGBT Entrepreneurship in the U.S." by StartOut shows many of the LGBT entrepreneurs are not out with their investors or their working relationship for fear of discrimination.
It also reveals that the US states discriminating LGBT people lose a lot of job opportunities.
After being the first state to legalize equal marriage, Governor Baker issued a decree making Massachusetts the first to help businesses run by LGBT people, people with disabilities, veterans, women and minorities with a program that will help them grow.
