Week' N News: Illegality Or Equality

WeekN News

In France, it is a step ahead, a step behind.

One could wonder where will go UK financial aids? Certainly not in the pockets of the Zimbabwe's president.

A minister in Malaysia repeats once again that homosexuality is illegal and has no intention to change this.

Perhaps, in Denmark, you will be able to you marry in Lutheran churches.

Lastly, Google goes towards always more equality.

Release Of 'Gay Treatment' Book Cancelled

Eileen-Mohr

A few weeks ago, I had spoken to you about an author, Marion Heath, who had plan to release her book, Where is your brother?, which preaches the fact that Jesus can cure homosexuality, her publisher (pictured) decided to cancel it because LGBT activists plan to protest.

We are always complaining, or at least I am, about not having the civil rights we deserve. Those complaints are valid ones. LGBT individuals can still be fired in most states simply because of his or her sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. Same-sex couples cannot marry in most states and even when they can their marriages are not recognized by our federal government thus denying them over a thousand rights and benefits available to heterosexual married couples. Our LGBT youth suffer from bullying and homelessness at higher rates than their heterosexual counterparts. Any way you cut it, LGBT individuals and couples are at a disadvantage in a country that boasts "all men are created equal" (never-mind what this means for women, another story for another day).

exes

Dear Sappho,

My girlfriend is friends with ALL of her exes, is that reasonable or normal? Plus - I don't like all of them and some of them dislike me. I can tell that some of them have less than flattering things to say about me and I suspect they would like to see me gone from her life?  Did you have that problem on Lesbos?

Suspicous

couch_3The week has come and is now almost gone. While many of us our planning out weekend rendezvous and escapades, some of us are planning the next move in our relationships, bedroom excursions, and/or dating lives. And this is where I come in. Why ask your single friends what to do in your relationship? You’re interrupting their playtime with your drama.

Instead, why don’t you come, lay your head on my couch, and spill all. There’s no question too big or small that Spoken won’t answer.
