St. Mary's Academy is a Catholic secondary school in Portland, Oregon, who had been the object of a revolt after refusing to hire a woman for a position of Councillor because she is a lesbian. We are now delighted to learn that the leaders of this school were called their policy into question and changed it to stop discriminating against LGBT people.

Everyone remembers the terrible crime that hit a couple of lesbian teenagers in Texas, Mary Kristene Chapa and Mollie Olgin, in June 2012. Almost two years after the fact, the murderer was finally arrested.
