A lesbian romance is at the heart of the supernatural thriller "Thelma"

Written by

"Thelma" is a supernatural thriller with a lesbian romance between the two main characters.

Directed by the Norwegian Joachim Trier (Oslo, August 31st), "Thelma" tells the story of a young student recently arrived in Oslo who falls in love with one of her classmates and then realizes she has fantastic powers.

Director Joachim Trier is rather accustomed to making dramas but this time he opted for a supernatural thriller with a little touch of horror.

Even if we would have preferred a female director, you must know that Trier always realizes his films with much aptness. So we can still expect a quality film.

You will discover actresses in the two main roles of the film, namely Eili Harboe (Thelma) and Kaya Wilkins (Anja).

From a few articles I read, it seems that Harboe could be the revelation of the film.

I let you discover the trailer of the movie:

The film was released on September 15 in Norway, it will also be distributed in a limited way in the United States from November 10, in France from November 22, in Sweden and Denmark.

There will be a screening of the film on October 6, 2017, at the New York Film Festival and at the San Diego International Film Festival on the same day.

More screening or release dates on IMDBIMDB.
