“Half of It” follows Ellie Chu (Leah Lewis, Charmed), a smart student who is hired by the school jock, Paul Munksy (Daniel Diemer), to write love letters to a girl. But Paul is not the only one in love with the beautiful Aster Flores (Alexxis Lemire)...
This lesbian romance is described by Netflix as “a modern-day Cyrano-meets-Pygmalion," in which “a shy, introverted, Chinese-American, straight-A student finds herself helping the school jock woo the girl they both secretly love. In the process, each teaches the other about the nature of love as they find a connection in the most unlikely of places.”
The movie will be directed by Alice Wu whose first feature film “Saving Face” had met with a huge success in 2004. This is one of the most beautiful romantic lesbian movies with a happy end.
“Half of It” will be released soon on Netflix. The project is in production and no release date has been unveiled at this time.
