«Dodie & Cheryl Get Hitched» tells the story of a lesbian couple who wish to marry in the Midwest. This film highlights the difficulties of a lesbian couple can meet in a small town.
Initially, no one knows that they are a couple, but Cheryl is tired and, after Dodie has been discriminated, Cheryl hoisted the rainbow colors up. Dodie proposes Cheryl while locals assert their increasingly anti-gay feelings.
Even if the equal marriage was legalized in all 50 US states, it is still difficult in certain areas to live openly your love.

«Change comes in many different shapes and forms and steps and sizes. Getting a movie like «Dodie & Cheryl Get Hitched» out there will help have a positive impact on the trajectory of LGBT civil rights. To be represented is to be seen, to matter, to no longer be invisible. Having a voice challenges people to stand up and take notice and that increases understanding and builds acceptance. Stories change hearts and minds,» says Coley.
The funds raised will produce the film by financing the filming. You can contribute here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2023545430/dodie-and-cheryl-get-hitched
