To start, Beals will play in the new film of Matthew Modine at the sides of Sean Astin, James Frecheville, Riley Griffiths, Jared Gilman, David Alan Grier, Miles Heizer, Eric Stoltz, Isaac White and Billy Zane.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Rocking Horsemen" tells the story of five teen boys on their journey to form a rock band during the summer of 1962. The boys have high hopes and are driven by a shared fear of what the future holds. When the chance to perform at their high school graduation arises, the stage is set for the band -- dubbed The Rocking Horsemen -- to realize their dream. The story, written by Modine, chronicles what it's like to be young when everything seems possible and music can transform one's life.
The shooting of the film, which is produced by Orian Williams, should begin this summer.
Then, Jennifer Beals returns in TV series entitled “Proof” in which she will play, as reports Deadline, Carolyn Tyler, a skeptical, hard-science, brilliant female surgeon with a caustic edge who has been struggling with the devastating loss of her teenage son and a growing estrangement from her surviving daughter. She is persuaded to investigate cases of reincarnation, out-of-body experiences, hauntings — all of it looking for verifiable proof to answer one of life’s greatest questions: Is death truly the end, or is there something else beyond?
