Kate Moennig joined the cast of “Grown-ish” for season two to play a lesbian gender studies professor.

Grown-ish” is a comedy series that exposes social issues and complexities faced by both students and administrators.

During the first season, you meet Zoey (Yara Shahidi) and her friends. In this new season, you can follow them again during their second year at CalU.

They take classes on gender studies and meet Professor Paige Hewson (Kate Moennig) described as “openly lesbian, uber-feminist, confident, yet still self-effacing”.

She will impact in particular Nomi’s life (Emily Arlook), the bisexual character who hasn’t come out to her parents yet. Nomi will see her teacher as a mentor and someone with whom she can talk to.

“Grown-ish” returned on Freeform for a second season on January 2.

Kate Moennig still plays Lena, the lesbian assistant of Ray Donovan’s main role, whose Showtime is broadcasting Season 6.

Kate Moennig was one of the leading characters in the film entitled Lane 1974. She is also co-producing The L Word reboot with actresses Jennifer Beals and Leisha Hailey. There are no recent news about the reboot but as I explained before, the project’s creation will take time. I’ll keep you updated.
