A new lesbian film with Katherine Heigl and Alexis Bledel should be released this year.

The actresses Katherine Heigl, whom you know in particular for her role of Izzie in "Grey's Anatomy", and Alexis Bledel (Mad Men) could play soon a lesbian couple in "Jenny's Wedding", a movie written and directed by Mary Agnes Donoghue.

The film will follow, according to ImdbImdb, Jenny Farrell (Heigl) who has led an openly gay life - except with her conventional family. When she finally decides to start a family and marry Kitty (Bledel), the woman they thought was just her roommate, the small, safe world the Farrell's inhabited changes forever. They are left with a simple and difficult choice - either change with it or drown.

Currently, the team tries to raise the necessary funds by March 28 to finish the production of this film thanks to a campaign launched on IndiegogoIndiegogo.

"Jenny's Wedding is a movie I'm so proud to be a part of," Heigl tweeted. "Love the story and the characters. Hope you will too!"

"The producers are just as passionate about @jennys_wedding as I am, but need your help to make it happen," she later tweeted.

If the goal is reached, "Jenny's Wedding" should be released towards the end of this year 2014.
