After having launched two months ago a new series «Sense8», Netflix has announced the renewal of the series for a second season for our pleasure.

If you don't already know «Sense8» I recommend it to you. This series is probably the most LGBT-friendly series that I have ever seen.

First, «Sense8» was created by Lana Wachowski, openly trans* author we talked about during her coming out (see: Exploring Gender: Visibility), and her brother Andrew who are behind the Matrix trilogy.

The story follows eight men and women totally different and living in different countries around the world that are able to communicate with each other throughout their senses, that is to say they can see and talk with each other without being physically together, they can also feel what others in their group feel, and can also remotely help each other.

We discover different lifestyles and different cultures, traveling through several continents and cities (Seoul, Nairobi in Kenya, Reykjavik in Iceland, Mexico City, Chicago, Mumbai in India, London and Berlin), there is action, fantasy, romance, Gay Pride.

There are both a gay character, an extremely popular Mexican actor (Miguel Ángel Silvestre) who hides his homosexuality, and an openly trans* character played by trans* actress Jamie Clayton, which we talk about in a previous article (see «Watch The Pilot Of New Web Series «Scissr»») and her lesbian girlfriend (Freema Agyeman).

The drama shows the audience the concept of «love is love» and gender, especially in an orgy scene that sees the characters having sex together.

«Sense8» is a series that advocates tolerance in all its forms. There is no skin color, gender, sexual orientation, sex. There are only feelings shared by each others.

Therefore, we look forward to season 2....
