Ofcom Won't Investigate Following Complaints Against The Lesbian Kiss In Season 8 Of Doctor Who

A few weeks ago, we were super happy to hear that the new season of Doctor Who was going to start with a lesbian kiss. We still are but it seems that others have not enjoyed the scene.

Indeed, six viewers have apparently complained to the television regulator Ofcom after the kissing scene they describe as "inappropriate" but Ofcom did not consider their complaints as justified.

Having assessed the complaints, we can confirm that they do not raise issues warranting further investigation, an Ofcom spokesperson told The Independent.

Our rules do not discriminate between scenes involving opposite sex and same sex couples.

It's still three years since we expected they kiss, it's not 6 viewers will spoil our fun!
