Indeed, a few days ago the creator of "The L Word", Ilene Chaiken, tweeted:
Here we clearly see that she mentions The L Word through the official account of the series and the main actors of the cast. Many of the actresses have responded to this message like Katherine Moennig, Jennifer Beals, and Sarah Shahi:
So like so many, first we thought a reboot could be in preparation. Chaiken had already expressed her wish to relaunch the series in an interview with EW:
"I would love to revisit the L Word," Chaiken told EW. "We talk about it from time to time. I talk about it with some of my colleagues who were in the cast who would love to reboot it. I don’t know when. I’m busy and most of them are too, but I do still think that it’s a viable world in which to tell stories, and those characters are still beloved as far as I can tell."
In addition, reboots are in fashion at this time. Twin Peaks has launched its season three after 25 years of absence and the Will & Grace series is scheduled to restart soon. Why not The L Word?
But Kate Moennig then tweeted:
So the mystery remains entire. We now opt for the hypothesis of a special episode.
