Where Are LGBT On TV?

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) revealed in a report for season 2011/2012 that for the first time in 4 years, there were less gay and lesbian roles in TV shows.

The association, which fights to have the LGBT community represented in the media, indicates in its report that only 2.9% of leading roles were gay compared to 3.9% for the previous season.

Even on the cable channels it is similar : 29 LGBT roles for this season, 6 less.

So, except Glee on the Fox, Desperate Housewives, Modern Family and Grey' s Anatomy on ABC, True Blood on HBO or Shameless on Showtime, one does not have a lot of shows to watch.

True Blood and Shameless are the most gay-friendly TV shows of the moment with a lot of LGBT characters.
